Maarja Niinemägi is a freelance jewellery artist. She has taken part in exhibitions since 1997 and has been a member of the Estonian Artists' Association since 2011. Since 2014 she is a member of Estonian Assosiation of Designers. She creates small editions and also timeconsuming collections of one off items of jewellery, which have been exhibited in Estonia and abroad.
Colour has a very impact part in my creation. In my work I´m using materials together as colours, so the jewellery becomes an abstract form and colour in space. The poetry of the work is light, the colours selfpossessed. Often trying to catch the ideal but mainly inspired from the nature and people.
